Easy as pie – with Jell-O Puddings! (Quick and thrifty – and pie lovers love ’em!)
Butterscotch-Nut Pie recipe
If you love the good, butter-rich flavor of butterscotch pudding just as is… wait till you taste it in a flaky pie shell! Add nuts and meringue to make a super-scrumptious pie for Sunday-best.Jell-O butterscotch pudding is the shortcut to success!
Ingredients
1 package Jell-O butterscotch pudding
2 cups milk
1 baked 8-inch pie shell
2-egg whitemeringue
2 tablespoons broken pecan meats
Directions:Prepare pudding with milk according to package directions. Cool slightly (about 5 minutes), stirring once or twice. Turn into pie shell. Top with meringue and sprinkle with pecans. Bake in moderate oven (350 F) for 15 minutes, or until meringue is delicately browned.
Chocolate-Banana Pie recipe
Even a beginner can make it with Jell-O chocolate pudding!
Directions:Prepare chocolate pudding as directed on package. Cool slightly (about 5 minutes), stirring once or twice. Slice two bananas, and arrange on the bottom of a baked 9-inch pie shell. Cover with slightly-cooled pudding mixture. Chill. Garnish with a wreath of whipped cream, decorated with additional banana slices and cut maraschino cherries.
Ambrosia pie recipe
Don’t forget Jell-O’s smooth-as-cream vanilla pudding when you want to please a pie-lover! It has a delicacy that’s are in packaged puddings. Ideal for a dream pie like this.
Directions:Prepare vanilla pudding as directed on the package.Cool slightly (about 5 minutes), stirring once or twice. Turn into 8-inch graham cracker crust. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream and decorate with orange sections and Baker’s coconut.
Graham cracker crust recipe: Combine 1 cup fine graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 cup melted butter. Press firmly on bottom and sides of greased 8-inch pie pan. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) for 5 to 8 minutes. Cool.
