I haven’t always been a fan of the sandwiches at Subway but one thing that I can’t get enough of is the sauces they serve – they’re delicious. In particular the chipotle southwest sauce. If you’re like me, you’ll know sauces are one of the ways to spice up your salads, sandwiches as well as those dishes that are deprived of flavors. Sometimes you are at home and want to make and enjoy sandwiches with that southwestern Chipotle sauce which is why having this recipe is so useful. Buying this from the store don’t quite hit the mark for me as they’re not like those made at the subway restaurants. For me, the best solution is to make a copycat version at home.

The sauces are delicious, mainly because they compliment a range of dishes at home. They just have the right spices, freshness, tang as well as acidity to make any dish that is flavor-free have that tantalizing taste that you will enjoy. There are various combinations that you can experiment with to get the desired paste, but nothing beats the combination of flavor-free Greek yogurt together with mayonnaise. These are the foundations for this Chipotle paste.

How To Make Subway Chipotle Southwest Sauce

Creating the subway chipotle sauce is super easy and also only takes a few minutes to prepare. The process does not involve any cooking time, this means that you will not require heat. All you will have to do is blend the mix and then pour the paste into a jar, ready to be used. The paste can be used in various dishes at home; for starters, it can be used as a dip. You can also use it to dress various salads at home. It can be used in southwestern cuisines where it can stand in for mayonnaise in meals like chicken salad, the subway chipotle south west sauce is also great for sandwiches as stated before.

The other nice thing about this recipe is that you have the freedom to play around with the mix to acquire that unique taste that is just for you. You can play around with ingredients like fresh lime juice as well as fresh garlic and thyme. These ingredients add riches in flavors but do not deter the paste from its original uniqueness. For you to acquire the original flavor, you will have to clone the many flavors that have been used by the top-sellers in the subway streets.

Complimentary Dishes

This recipe goes well with Burger King Onion rings, Taco Bell quesadillas and of course lets not forget our Wingstop fries dish, which has proven to be extremely popular with our readers.

Additionally, the chipotle southwest sauce can be made in such a way that can exceed your taste buds’ expectations. This recipe is a copycat version of the original southwestern subway chipotle saue. Below are the main ingredients and we’ve outlined the steps to follow below:

Ingredients

  • One Chipotle Chile in Adobo paste with one tablespoon paste canned

  • 1/2 Cup 1/2 of mayonnaise

  • 1/2 Cup 1/2 of flavor-free Greek yogurt

  • 1/4 Cup 1/4 of chopped cilantro

  • 1/4 tbls 1/4 of ground cumin

  • 1/4 tbls 1/4 of dried drill

  • 1/2 ounce 1/2 of lime juice

  • 1/4 ounce 1/4 of garlic

  • Add kosher salt to taste

Directions

  • Put the Chipotle into the food processor or blender, then go ahead and add one tablespoon of Adobo paste from the canned Chipotle.
  • Place all other ingredients like the mayonnaise, plain Greek yogurt, chopped cilantro, and ground cumin among others in the food processor or blender, with your Chipotle Chile and then season it with kosher salt.
  • Whizz up all of the ingredients in the blender to form the paste, you must blend it until it acquires a smooth uniformity. The period for which it will take for you to acquire this smooth consistency is about 2 to 3 minutes. Therefore, you should whizz the mixture for a good 3 minutes so that you can acquire that lovely creamy mixture.
  • After you have acquired the desired smooth consistency, you can go ahead and empty your food processor or blender. Pour the southwestern sauce into a bowl. Place the bowl in a fridge, this will allow your paste to have time to cool. You should leave it in the fridge for about 30 minutes before you start preparing the sandwiches. After the 30 minutes have subsided the southwestern Chipotle paste will be ready for use.

Notes

  • For best results mix all of the ingredients in a regular bowl, chill the contents for 1 hour prior to consuming.
