It takes a big community effort to fundraise and Crown St Public School nailed it at Saturday’s local election! Big thank you to Fable Food Co who generously sponsored with their brilliant bbq hit mushroom roll and our menu and neighborhood stars Clover & Alex! We sold out and raised a huge amount of much-needed funds that go directly to the school! And congrats to Clover Moore and the Independent team for the election win!! 🏆 🍀 🌈

My kids went to CSPS for their first couple of years of school before we moved! Fond memories (except home schooling. No fond memories of that) 🥰

If 2023 was a tough fundraising year for you, you have 2 choices.1️⃣ You can short-sightedly double down on whatever HASN'T been working and try to squeeze every last dollar out of a shrinking pool of supporters.OR2️⃣ You can reckon with the reality that many of the go-to ways of raising money are flawed and that a FUNDAMENTAL change is necessary."Churn and burn" and "spray and pray" tactics don't work for movement building.Neither does working your butt off but never taking a minute to build SUSTAINABLE systems to get the resources you need. The leaders I work with know that money is a necessary tool to make positive change. They're growing movements by telling their stories in new ways and ✨turning people into activists.✨If your vision is big enough that you KNOW you can't afford to burn yourself out doing things that don't move the needle, you're my kind of leader.#nonprofitleadership #nonprofitorganization #nonprofitfundraising #advocacy #digitalmarketing #advertising #socialimpact #socialmedia

From our work, we know that people associated with #print and the allied trades are forced to make impossible choices because they can’t afford the essentials. Change in circumstance can only be a step away, and with the election next week, we are joining with Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF), The Trussell Trust and more than 200 other charitable and community organisations to ask our political leaders: where is your urgent plan to tackle hardship?#OurEssentials
