I’ve been making edible cookie dough for years before it became a thing. My husband thinks I’m the grossest person ever that I LOVE raw cookie dough. So if you are like my husband, move onto another recipe like our Keto Chocolate Mousse.

If you’d like to make actual Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies be sure to check out that recipe.

For the raw cookie dough lovers. . . this is for us! 😉

Just because we are following this WOE doesn’t mean we can’t eat our cookie dough too! Keto Cookie dough has been born!

HOW MANY NET CARB PER Keto Cookie Dough Serving

1 Net Carbsper tablespoon of our keto cookie dough. It is actually .5 Net Carbs but just for the sake of making things easy we rounded up.

Now being realistic you’ll want 2 bites of this cookie dough . . . well I do as least. So if you have the control 1 Tablespoon of dough is definitely more than enough to curb any cravings for something delicious like this low carb cookie dough.

Note: The Net Carbs per serving is by subtracting the sugar alcohol erythritol.

My family does subtract the sugar alcohols and I’ll continue to provide that sugar alcohol grams above the nutrition card below and you can decide for yourself if you want to follow that.

PLEASE do not shame or be mean to others who might do things a little differently. That is not what we are about here. We all are following different carb counts for the day for what works for individual needs. What might not work for you works for others!

If you are new to this Low Carb/Keto lifestyle and are unsure what we are talking about please feel free toÂread up more on Net Carbs and why people do or don’t subtract sugar alcohols.

The above picture is about 1 serving. One delicious spoonful that truly hits the spot for a dessert. It’s got the perfect ratio of fat and sweetness to curb those cravings.

Powdered Erythritol vs. Granular Erythritol in this Keto Cookie Dough recipe

  • Powdered Erythritol: I will say that it’s often better to use powdered erythritol for this sort of thing, but if you don’t have it, don’t worry about it, granular erythritol will work fine just sometimes the graininess can be distracting to me.
  • Make your own powdered erythritol: Pulse some granular sweetener through your blender to powder it if you’d like. Either way, this is a very tasty, holiday pie!

My daughter is highly allergic to coconut in any form. Can I substitute almond flour instead?

It will change the texture a bit but I’ve done this before and have enjoyed it myself. Will need to add a little bit extra almond flour to the correct texture.

Hello!! Haven’t made this yet but was wondering if I could use Truvia or Stevia sugar for this recipe?? Instead of swerve! It’s a bit pricy! Thanks!

Yes you can. Check out out low carb sweetener conversion chart to get the right bit of sweetness. Just be aware that it may change the consistency of the dough a bit.

I’m new to keto and just dying for a little sugar fix. I’ve tried a couple different recipes, but they weren’t very good. I did the recipe as is the first time and I couldn’t quite get past the coconut overload. In all fairness, it was my first time trying it. The second time I did 1/4 coconut flour and 1/2 almond flour. I left out the stevia because It tasted sweet without it. They’re amazing! My taste buds are happy and they’re sweet enough that I didn’t find myself bingeing on more servings. Thank you!!!

They are okay, I improvised a little. I’m not a fan of coconut flour. This recipe used a lot of it. I used only 1/4 cup of sweetener with the stevia. It’s plenty sweet. I don’t think I’d make it again.

I may be a little odd but I personally love the extra salt from the salted butter. But most would probably prefer unsalted butter.

This is for real one of my fave keto treats of all time. I use the least amount of powdered erythritol called for and I still find them perfectly sweet. I love the coconut flour flavor as well. I also love rolling them into little balls and putting them in the fridge and then just eating it as a little macaroon type cookie. SO GOOD! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing! I’ve been doing keto for about 3 months now and everyday I find myself looking at different recipes to whip up. I’ve notice recently though, that I’ve been having a hard time getting all of my fats in, so fat bombs were at the top of my list to get that extra push. I’ve made a cookie dough fat bomb before and wasn’t the biggest fan, but I wanted to give a different recipe a try. I found this and I am so happy I did! However, I did combine both almond flour and the coconut for this, only because I didn’t want the coconut to be over powering (sometimes it’s hard to fool my taste buds). And I also added about a half tablespoon of swerve brown sugar, as most people suggested in the comment below, it does give the dough an authentic taste. Regardless, this cookie dough will now be my new go to for that extra push of fat. I literally had to slap hands away from the bowl of non keto family members who kept reaching for more! Thank you so much!

Flavor was just ok..sweet but not like real cookie dough. I did not like the graininess of the coconut flour. I added the cream..more than a splash too..still grainy. I will eat them as ingredients, especially the chocolate chips are expensive but I won’t make again.

Thanks for your feedback Anita. We definitely try to make things less sweet than traditional just because our bodies personally don’t do well with TOO much sweetener. We always recommend to add a bit more sweetener of your choice to a dish if you’d like, it won’t mess with the recipe as its rather forgiving.

I used monk fruit classic and golden instead of the powdered. And added 1/4 c each. Also cut the coconut flour to maybe 1/2 c. It gives you more of that crunch as if you used granulated sugar in your cookie dough.

Looks amazing and can’t wait to try. 2 questions. When you measure the erythritol, do you measure it in the granular format and then pulse to make it powdered? I’ve made recipes before with powdered and they don’t seem sweet enough. Also, have you tried Monk Fruit sugar. Just curious.

    • Keto Cookie Dough Recipe | Low Carb Recipes by That's Low Carb?! (44)Lindsay says

Measure the amount that is powdered, it really does depend also on your sweetness liking, we tend to go onto the lower sweet spectrum so being that this is a pretty forgiving recipe if you want a bit extra then feel free to add more sweetener.. And yes, we are actually becoming partial to monkfruit ourselves over the past month. I haven’t tried it with this recipe yet but I suspect it would be fantastic substitute. It’s actually slowly becoming our favorite sweetener.
